Wat Prang Luang, Buddhist temple in Bang Muang, Thailand.
The temple complex features a prominent prang structure alongside traditional halls housing Buddhist statues and religious artifacts within its compound.
Established during the 14th century under King Ramathibodi I, this temple initially served as a royal residence before the foundation of the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
The temple contains a 9-meter-wide Buddha image in Māravijaya posture, drawing Buddhist practitioners who gather for regular Monday evening prayer sessions.
Visitors must wear appropriate clothing covering shoulders and knees when entering the temple grounds, which remain open throughout the year.
The ancient prang, dating from early Ayutthaya period, exhibits structural characteristics that differ from other temple towers of the same era.
