Madrasa Slimania, Religious school in Medina district, Tunis, Tunisia.

Madrasa Slimania is a limestone school building featuring a central courtyard surrounded by galleries that connect eighteen student rooms and a three-naved prayer hall. The structure now functions as office space for medical associations.

Ali Pasha founded this school in 1754 as a memorial to his son Suleiman, who died from poisoning by his brother. The building reflects the educational practices of Ottoman times in Tunis.

The prayer hall displays ceramic panels with Islamic calligraphy showing the ninety-nine names of Allah in traditional script. These decorative elements shape the visual character of the interior and reflect its role as a space for worship and learning.

The building sits near Zitouna Mosque at the intersection of Souk El Koutbiya and Souk El Kachachine in the Medina district. Access may be limited since medical associations currently occupy the space as offices.

The entrance rises above street level with Ottoman-style capitals supporting a limestone arch crowned with green ceramic tiles. This architectural detail makes the entry point a notable feature when approaching the building.
