Bursa Clock Tower

The Bursa Clock Tower is a stone structure with six levels built in Baroque style, rising about 33 meters (108 feet) into the air. It has large clock faces on all four sides and stands in the middle of the city's old marketplace district.

The tower was built between 1904 and 1905 to replace an older building that once stood in the same spot. This rebuilding happened as the city modernized and expanded during the early 1900s.

The tower sits near the old merchant warehouses and shows how the city developed as Ottoman trade grew. Standing here, you can see why this area was once the heart of business and commerce.

The interior staircase allows visitors to climb up and enjoy views over the old city center from different levels. Wear comfortable shoes, as climbing the steps can be tiring.

The tower blends traditional mechanical clocks with modern electronic systems, showing how historic buildings adapt to contemporary technology. This mix of old and new is typical of how the city preserves its past while moving forward.
