Çadır Höyük, Archaeological site in Yozgat Province, Turkey

The artificial mound of Çadır Höyük rises 32 meters above the valley plain and extends across 5 hectares of land near Sorgun.

The settlement layers at Çadır Höyük span 6000 years of continuous habitation, from the Middle Chalcolithic period through the Byzantine era.

Excavated artifacts include pottery that demonstrates trade connections between southeastern Europe and the Caucasus during the Late Chalcolithic period.

The Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago conducts annual excavations at the site, which stands 16 kilometers south of Sorgun.

Scientists have collected numerous radiocarbon samples from multiple archaeological periods, providing precise dating of the settlement's occupational phases.
