Yedigöller National Park, National park and lake system in Bolu Province, Turkey.

Yedigöller National Park is a nature reserve in Bolu Province consisting of seven lakes created by natural landslides. These water bodies are set within dense forests of beech, oak, and pine trees, forming an interconnected landscape of lakes and woodland.

The Turkish government designated the area as a national park in 1965, protecting over 1600 hectares of land for environmental conservation and public recreation. This designation marked a key moment in safeguarding the lakes and their forest ecosystems for the future.

The name means Seven Lakes in Turkish, with each body of water given its own local name. Locals and visitors navigate the park by these names, making each lake feel like a distinct destination within the larger setting.

The park is accessed via the Yenicağa road, roughly 150 km from the Ankara-Istanbul highway. On-site accommodation options including camping and bungalows make it easy to spend more than a day exploring the lakes and trails.

Scientists have documented rare mayfly species within the park that exist in this region's ecosystem. These discoveries indicate that the forest and water systems hold biological diversity that remains largely unexplored and studied by researchers.
