National Taiwan University of Science and Technology is a technical university in Da'an District, Taipei, organized around several multi-story buildings housing classrooms, laboratories, and a library. The institution was founded in 1974 as a national institute of technology with four initial departments. Two decades later, in 1997, it gained university status and expanded its offerings.
