Nanzih District

Nanzih District is an administrative area in northern Kaohsiung encompassing residential neighborhoods, industrial zones, and educational facilities. These different zones work together to form the functional core of the city's growth and development.

The area grew from the Nam-A-Ken settlement established by migrants from Fujian during the Qing Dynasty. This early foundation shaped how the region evolved from a rural settlement into an urban and industrial center.
