Liudui Hakka Cultural Park, Cultural center in Neipu Township, Taiwan
Liudui Hakka Cultural Park is a facility in Neipu that combines multiple areas for exploring Hakka heritage. Visitors encounter exhibition halls, gardens, wetland sections, and traditional buildings arranged across a large site.
The site began as a tobacco-drying facility before becoming a cultural center through a donation in 2011. This transformation allowed the preservation and public presentation of Hakka heritage.
The park displays Hakka traditions through reconstructed buildings and craft techniques that visitors can observe directly. The structures and displayed objects tell the story of daily life and skills passed down through generations.
The site is walkable and requires about half a day to explore its different sections comfortably. Paths are well-maintained and connect all main areas throughout the grounds.
The park features six steel-framed structures shaped like traditional oil-paper umbrellas that provide shade while referencing local forest legends from the region. These distinctive buildings blend practical function with cultural meaning tied to Pingtung.
