Minsyong Township

Minsyong Township is an administrative division in Chiayi County that stretches across the Chianan Plain with rolling terrain in its eastern sections. It encompasses 28 villages and features a mix of agricultural land and scattered settlements across its landscape.

The area took shape during the Qing Dynasty as a settlement and gradually became known for rice and sugarcane farming. This agricultural foundation influenced its development as a regional economic center over centuries.

The township is home to several temples such as Baolin Temple and Dashihye Temple, where residents participate in traditional religious ceremonies throughout the year as part of their everyday spiritual life.

Visitors can reach the area by train through Minxiong Station, which connects to the regional transportation network throughout Chiayi County. The station serves as a convenient starting point for exploring the surrounding villages and countryside.

The National Radio Museum displays collections of broadcasting equipment and traces the history of communications technology in Taiwan. Its exhibits showcase rare pieces that illustrate how the island's communications systems evolved over time.
