Xihu Township

Xihu Township occupies 32 square kilometers in the central region of Changhua County, supporting a population of 54,033 residents across 25 villages.

The township developed as a major sugar production center during Japanese rule, establishing an extensive railway network for transporting agricultural products.

Twenty-five distinct villages within Xihu Township maintain their local traditions through regular festivals and community gatherings throughout the year.

The Xihu Bus Station, operated by Yuanlin Bus, connects the township to neighboring cities and provides regular transportation services for residents.

The former Xihu Sugar Factory operates a tourist train with Engine No. 346, Taiwan's first unmodified steam locomotive from 60 years ago.
