Buyan Shunze Temple

Buyan Shunze Temple is a Taoist temple in Puyan Village featuring traditional Taiwanese architecture with large metal incense burners and intricately carved wooden beams throughout its structure. Deity sculptures are displayed prominently in various areas, reflecting the sacred nature of the space.

The Chen family established the temple between 1722 and 1735 as a religious center for the local community. Multiple renovations took place over the centuries, with the most recent restoration work completed in 1998.

Xuantian Shangdi is the main deity honored here, and locals gather throughout the year for religious ceremonies and community celebrations connected to this worship. The temple serves as a spiritual center where residents express their faith through these regular gatherings.
