埔頭街, Historic pedestrian street in Lukang, Taiwan.

The narrow lanes of Putou Street feature traditional red brick buildings with wooden doors, ornate facades, and classical Taiwanese architectural elements.

During the Qing Dynasty, this commercial center connected to a river port where merchants conducted trade between Taiwan and mainland China.

The street preserves numerous heritage structures including the Hexing Trading House and Hede Hall, which display traditional Taiwanese craftsmanship and architecture.

Visitors can reach the street by taking the high-speed rail to Taichung Station, followed by a transfer to the Lukang shuttle bus service.

The street maintains its original layout with curved sections designed to block strong winds and deter intruders during the trading era.
