Dalin Township

Dalin Township is an administrative township in Chiayi County made up of 21 villages spread across the landscape. The area shows a mix of residential neighborhoods, farmland, and small commercial centers that organize daily life for residents.

The area was known as Dapulin during the Qing dynasty and later received settlers from Guangdong and Fujian provinces. These immigrants established communities and worked primarily in forestry and farming.

The township is home to Nanhua University and several temples that serve as gathering places for the community. These institutions shape how locals spend their time and mark important moments throughout the year.

The township is easily reached by Dalin Station on the Taiwan Railways Administration line. Visitors can also use the Mianchiuang Taiwan Sugar Railways station to get around the region.

The area is a major production zone growing rice, bamboo shoots, oranges, and orchids on local fields. These agricultural activities shape the landscape and the economic foundation of the township.
