The Tainan Municipal Cultural Center contains multiple facilities, including a Cultural Artifacts Exhibition Hall, International Conference Hall, and Performing Hall.
The center initiated construction in June 1980 and opened its doors on October 6, 1984, marking the beginning of a new cultural era in Tainan.
The center organizes numerous exhibitions featuring ceramic arts, ink painting, and collaborative projects that highlight local Taiwanese artistic expressions.
Visitors can reach the cultural center through the nearby Tainan Station of Taiwan Railways, located south of the main building complex.
The center underwent two name changes, becoming the Tainan Municipal Arts Center in 2000 before returning to its original name in 2004.
