National Pingtung University is a public institution spread across four campuses in Pingtung City. The five colleges offer studies in education, business, science, humanities, and information technology across these locations.
The university was established in August 2014 when two separate institutions merged: the National Pingtung University of Education and the National Pingtung Institute of Commerce. This consolidation created a larger academic community with expanded program offerings.
