Ganhua Eighteen Lords Temple

Located beside the Jinshan Nuclear Power Plant on Provincial Highway 2, the temple features traditional Chinese architectural elements with detailed carvings and decorative features.

During the Qing Dynasty, seventeen sailors and their dog perished in a shipwreck, leading local residents to construct a shrine that evolved into the present temple.

The temple stands as a yin miao, where people make offerings of hot dishes including zongzi, stewed whelk, and sesame oil chicken to honor the deceased.

The temple remains open twenty-four hours daily and can be reached by taking the Tamsui MRT line followed by a local bus to designated stops.

A large dog statue stands at the newer temple site, commemorating the loyal canine that attempted to join its deceased owners in their final resting place.
