Chin Pao San

Chin Pao San is a sculpture garden and cemetery set on a mountainside in Jinshan, with modern artworks and sculptures distributed across the landscape. The site combines memorial spaces with artistic installations, featuring pathways that connect different exhibition areas with ocean views.

The site developed as a private memorial space that merged artistic expression with traditional burial customs. It features contributions from numerous Taiwanese artists whose works have shaped the character of the grounds over time.

Multiple religious traditions appear through art pieces here, with Buddhist and Taoist imagery alongside Christian elements in the main building. Visitors can observe how these different faiths coexist visually through the sculptures and decorative details.

The grounds remain open throughout the year and feature wheelchair-accessible pathways connecting the various memorial gardens and exhibition spaces. Visitors can move easily between different zones to see the sculptural installations and enjoy the views.

Teresa Teng's memorial garden includes an interactive ground keyboard where visitors can create music by stepping across musical notes. This feature offers a rare chance to turn walking into a participatory sound experience.
