Chystiakove

Chystiakove is a city in Donetsk Oblast in eastern Ukraine situated on elevated terrain with two rivers flowing through its territory. The urban layout contains residential neighborhoods of different periods connected by roads leading to various districts.

The settlement was founded in 1778 by people fleeing forced labor and became a coal mining center by 1875. This economic shift shaped the city's infrastructure and growth over subsequent decades.

The city reflects a blend of Ukrainian and Russian traditions visible in how residents speak and live their daily lives. This cultural mix shapes the character of public spaces and local interactions throughout the town.
