Tokmak

Tokmak is an industrial city in Zaporizhzhia Oblast situated along the Molochna River with manufacturing facilities and residential districts. The urban layout spreads across flat terrain with established production plants and regular street patterns.

The city was founded in 1784 when state peasants from Poltava gubernia settled here. Over time it developed into an important regional center for crafts and later industrial production.

The local museum displays artifacts from Bronze Age settlements and ancient cultures of the region. The collections tell the story of different peoples who lived along the river.
