Shpykiv

Shpykiv is an urban-type settlement in Tulchyn Raion, Vinnytsia Oblast, featuring a Baroque palace and historic structures from the Polish period. The location contains buildings that reflect the area's layered past and its development across several centuries.

The settlement was founded in the 16th century during Polish-Lithuanian rule and belonged to the Bracław Voivodeship. Control of the area changed hands multiple times through subsequent centuries before it became part of modern Ukraine.

The settlement preserves traces of its past as a noble estate with a Baroque palace that reflects the architectural tastes of Polish rule. These structures continue to shape how the place looks and remind visitors of a period when wealthy families made their homes here.

The settlement is easy to reach and allows visitors to explore historic buildings and the palace on foot. Walking around helps you understand the layout and see how different structures relate to each other across the area.

The palace was constructed by Leonard Marcin Świejkowski and showcases the influence of Polish noble families on local architecture during the Renaissance. This building stands as one of the few remaining examples of such craftsmanship from that era in the region.
