Dubove

Dubove is an urban-type settlement in western Ukraine situated at roughly 411 meters elevation, with the River Teresva flowing through and dividing different parts of the community. The landscape features forested slopes and open fields that define the local terrain.

The settlement became significant in 1755 when a district forestry office was established there, attracting skilled workers from Bohemia and driving regional development. The arrival of a helicopter manufacturing facility in 1969 brought a second wave of industrial growth and employment.

The settlement has maintained a woodworking and forestry tradition that shapes daily life and connects residents to the surrounding landscape in meaningful ways.

The settlement is accessible through regional transportation networks and operates on UTC+2 time, shifting to UTC+3 during summer months. Visitors should expect basic services typical of a smaller community with limited amenities compared to larger towns.

A helicopter manufacturing plant built in 1969 transformed the local economy and funded the construction of public facilities including a stadium and technical training center that still serve the community. This factory made the settlement an important industrial hub in the region.
