National Museum of Folk Architecture and Folkways of Ukraine, Open-air ethnographic museum in Pyrohiv, Ukraine
The museum spans 131 hectares featuring 300 traditional buildings from different regions of Ukraine, including houses, churches, and windmills.
Founded in February 1969, the museum opened its doors to visitors in 1976 and contains structures dating from the 16th to 20th centuries.
The museum displays authentic Ukrainian rural houses, traditional tools, household items, textiles, and crafts representing six historical regions of Ukraine.
Located on the southern outskirts of Kyiv near Holosiiv Forest, the museum operates daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM throughout the year.
The oldest exhibit is a wooden house from 1587, transported from Samary village in the Volyn region of Ukraine.
