Great Synagogue in Iziaslav

The Great Synagogue in Iziaslav is a house of worship featuring Gothic architectural elements visible both outside and inside. The building has stone walls on its exterior and tall vaulted ceilings in the main prayer hall.

This synagogue was built before 1648 and ranks among the older structures in the region. It endured hardship during World War II and afterward, when the local Jewish population declined sharply.

The synagogue served the Jewish community of Iziaslav as a place for prayer and gathering. People came here not only for worship but also to meet and maintain their communal bonds.
