Museum of Propaganda, Political art museum in Shepetivka, Ukraine.
The Museum of Propaganda is a three-story circular building with a red and black enamel exterior located in Shepetivka. Inside, exhibitions are arranged within black cube structures that are mounted on rails throughout the space.
The building was founded in 1946 as a literary museum and changed its name and purpose several times over the decades. In 2020 it was transformed into its current form as a propaganda museum.
The museum displays artworks from different countries that present various perspectives on propaganda themes. Visitors can see how visual messages worked in different historical contexts.
The museum sits on elevated terrain at Taras Shevchenko Street, accessible via a paved pathway to the entrance. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes as the terrain is uneven and there are steps to navigate.
The collection includes propaganda artifacts from more than 25 countries arranged in spatial compositions mounted above black cubes. This arrangement allows visitors to compare different nations and time periods in an unusual way.
