Krynky, Village in Kherson Oblast, Ukraine
Krynky is a village situated on the eastern bank of the Dnieper River in Kherson Oblast. The settlement occupies an area of roughly 16 square kilometers in a low-lying landscape.
The village was founded in 1785 and developed along the river over the following centuries. It became part of the Oleshky urban hromada following administrative reorganization in 2020.
The 2001 census recorded 991 inhabitants in Krynky, with 90 percent of residents speaking Ukrainian and 10 percent speaking Russian.
The settlement sits roughly 40 kilometers east of Kherson city. Access depends on local road conditions and transportation availability.
The settlement experienced major flooding in 2023 that displaced many residents to other locations. This event deeply changed the village's population and daily life.
