Mezhove, Urban settlement in Makiivka Hromada, Ukraine.
Mezhove is an urban-type settlement in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk Oblast. It developed in an area shaped by industrial activity and regional transportation connections.
The settlement formed during the Soviet period as part of a community network built near industrial centers. It served as a residential area for workers employed in surrounding economic facilities.
The population of Mezhove reflects the linguistic patterns of eastern Ukraine, with Russian speakers representing 83 percent and Ukrainian speakers 15 percent.
The settlement connects to regional roads that link to larger transportation corridors. Visiting during warmer months provides better access and easier navigation through local routes.
Following the 2023 administrative reforms in Ukraine, Mezhove transitioned from its previous designation as an urban-type settlement to a new classification system.
