Myrna Dolyna is an urban-type settlement in eastern Ukraine, part of Lysychansk urban hromada in Luhansk Oblast. It sits on elevated ground and covers a small built-up area with residential buildings and the basic facilities typical of a rural community.
The settlement was founded in 1773 and originally belonged to Popasna Raion. A 2020 administrative reform brought it into Sievierodonetsk Raion.
The linguistic composition of Myrna Dolyna reflects its regional identity with 83.33 percent of residents speaking Ukrainian and 16.67 percent speaking Russian.
Myrna Dolyna is located in eastern Ukraine in an area affected by armed conflict since 2022, making travel to the region currently impossible. Anyone wishing to follow the situation should consult their government's official travel advisories.
Russian forces took control of the settlement on June 21, 2022, during the fighting across Luhansk Oblast. This came just days before the fall of nearby Lysychansk, which marked a turning point in that phase of the conflict.
