Mykolayiv Academic Art Theatre of Russian Drama, Performance venue in Mykolaiv, Ukraine.
The theatre building features six Corinthian columns with acanthus leaf ornaments and white statues flanking the main entrance at Admiralska Street.
The theatre structure, designed by engineer-architect Theophil Brusnyts'kyi, opened its doors in 1881 and underwent facility improvements by Jacov Sheffer in 1894.
The institution maintains a collection of five thousand museum pieces, including decorations and costumes from performances throughout its operational history.
The neo-Renaissance building contains a large stage and accommodates 900 spectators, with tickets available through the official website or at the box office.
The theatre presented the performance of 'Kateryna' based on Taras Shevchenko's poem and hosted poetry readings by Vladimir Mayakovsky in 1914.
