Rodakove, Urban settlement in Slovianoserbsk Raion, Ukraine
Rodakove is an urban-type settlement in Luhansk Oblast, in eastern Ukraine. It consists of residential blocks and basic shops that serve the everyday needs of people living there.
Rodakove was founded in 1910 and grew during the Soviet period as a residential and industrial center. It was given its official urban-type status during those decades.
Both Russian and Ukrainian are spoken in daily life in Rodakove, reflecting the mixed background of the region. This can be heard in shops, on the street, and in everyday exchanges around the settlement.
Rodakove is reachable by road and has basic services such as a post office and small shops. It is best to travel with a vehicle, as public transport connections in the area may be limited.
Rodakove is part of the Zymohiria urban hromada, an administrative unit formed through Ukrainian decentralization reforms after 2014. This reorganization merged many smaller places in the region into broader community structures.
