Kyiv-Mohyla Academy old academic building, Educational monument in Podil district, Ukraine.
The Old Academic Building features classical architectural elements with symmetrical windows, stone foundations, and traditional Ukrainian Baroque design elements throughout its structure.
Constructed in the 18th century under architect Gottfried Schädel's guidance, this building represents the first structure in Ukraine specifically designed for educational purposes.
The structure educated numerous intellectuals including philosopher Hryhoriia Skovoroda and encyclopedist Mykola Ambodyk-Maksymovych, who shaped Ukrainian academic thought.
Visitors can access the building through guided tours available Monday through Friday, with entrance from Kontraktova Square in the Podil district.
The building maintains its original educational function since the 1700s, serving as a continuous center of learning through various political and social changes.
