The Museum of Hetmanship occupies a two-story stone building with architectural features from 18th-century Ukrainian Baroque style. Inside, thousands of objects are displayed, including weapons, armor, banners, and documents that document the power and lives of these historical leaders.

The building was constructed in the early 1800s and later survived a major fire in the neighborhood, which led to its reinforcement and modification. The site became a place where Ukrainian military history and the legacy of these commanders were preserved.
