The Kharkov State Academic Puppet Theater operates in a former bank building designed by architect O. Beketov in the central district of Kharkiv.
Established in 1954, the theater found its home in an early 20th-century commercial building that previously served as the Volga-Kama Bank branch.
The institution maintains a collection of more than 11,000 theatrical dolls, representing different styles and traditions of puppet artistry from various periods.
Visitors can attend regular puppet performances, explore the museum collection, and participate in educational workshops about puppetry techniques and traditions.
The theater contains Ukraine's only museum dedicated to theatrical dolls, combining performance spaces with extensive historical puppet exhibitions.
