The Kharkiv Maritime Museum contains model ships, navigational instruments, and extensive collections related to naval exploration and maritime technology development.
Established in June 2009, the museum occupies the former Police Cultural Center building on Zhen Mironosits Street in Kharkiv.
The museum maintains collections that demonstrate the connection between Ukraine's maritime activities and the development of trade routes through the Black Sea.

Museum director Alexander Yakimenko, a world champion in ship modeling, personally created the entire collection displayed in the exhibition halls.
