Kyivan Rus Park

Kyivan Rus Park is a complex with reconstructed structures from medieval Kyiv spanning the 5th to 13th centuries. Visitors find defensive walls, towers, wooden buildings, and craft areas that recreate the look and layout of the ancient city.

The complex opened in 2008 as a recreation of medieval Kyiv life. It centers on the Detinets fortress and traditional residential structures, showing how fortification and settlement were connected.

The site displays how people lived in medieval Kyiv, with craft workshops and traditional houses you can explore. You see old techniques and everyday objects that give a direct impression of life in those times.

The grounds are accessible daily with plenty of space to walk between various buildings and areas. It helps to wear comfortable shoes and expect muddy or wet paths during rainy weather.
