Синяя бухта, Cove in Novy Svet, Ukraine
The Blue Bay is a cove near Novy Svet that sits between Mount Koba-Kaya and Cape Kapchik. The water drops to considerable depths immediately from the shoreline, making it one of the deeper inlets in the area.
During ancient times, the cove served as a hiding place for pirates who valued its remote location to shelter their vessels. This strategic role made it an important hub for maritime activities in that period.
The Golitsyn Trail passes along the southern slopes of Mount Koba-Kaya, offering views of the bay from different observation points.
There are no equipped piers here, so visitors disembark directly onto the beach when arriving by boat. It helps to check boat options and timing before planning a water visit to the cove.
A natural tunnel measuring 77 meters cuts through the middle section of Cape Kapchik, separating this cove from neighboring waters. This underground passage is a striking geological formation carved into the rock face.
