The park opened on March 25, 1946, after World War II, establishing a central recreational space in the post-war reconstruction of Mykolaiv.
The park regularly hosts Ukrainian Cossack celebrations with traditional games, combat demonstrations, crafts fairs, and maritime activities by the Regional Yacht Club.
Visitors can access various facilities including walking paths, sports grounds, and the Stadion Park Peremogy, which accommodates 5,000 spectators for events.
The park incorporates both natural landscapes and sporting facilities, with the stadium serving as home ground for MFC Mykolaiv-2 football matches.
