Dominican monastery in Zhovkva

The Dominican monastery in Zhovkva is a Baroque complex with thick defensive walls and rounded corner towers forming a rectangular structure. The building contains monastic rooms, chapels, and a central courtyard designed for both religious and defensive purposes.

Construction started in 1655 as a replacement for a wooden church, with funding from Theophile Sobieski intended as a burial place for his son Mark. The monastery later became an important religious center that shaped the city's development.
