Church of Nativity of the Theotokos, Nyzhnii Verbizh

The church features five domes in a cruciform layout with dark red exterior walls highlighted by white accents around windows and naves.

Local resident Hryhir Semeniuk funded the construction of this wooden church between 1756 and 1808, using money from his previous association with brigand Oleksa Dovbush.

The church represents traditional Hutsul architectural methods, demonstrating the regional craftsmanship through intricate wooden carvings and structural design techniques.

The building maintains regular Eastern Orthodox services and welcomes visitors interested in examining the wooden architecture of the Carpathian region.

During renovations in the 1990s, workers replaced the original wooden shingle roof covering with metal plates, altering the traditional appearance.
