The Annunciation Church displays traditional Eastern European architectural elements with its five naves and central dome rising above the cruciform structure.
Founded in 1709 on the site of a previous 1587 church, this religious building survived numerous conflicts and underwent significant expansions in 1845.
The structure served as a museum dedicated to Easter egg painting during the Soviet period before returning to religious functions in 1990.
The church stands in a former cemetery area at coordinates 48.527384, 25.023305, now integrated within the expanded city limits of Kolomyia.
Local records indicate that Bohdan Khmelnytsky attended a service in the previous church structure while celebrating military victories in the region.
