Silmash Stadium, Lviv, Sports stadium in Lviv, Ukraine
Silmash Stadium is a sports facility in Lviv with a natural grass pitch for football, training grounds, a running track, and partial covered seating. The grounds occupy space between Sulymy, Narodna, and Liubinska Streets.
The stadium was founded in 1934 when the local community raised funds and acquired grandstand seating from a Poland-Romania football match. Over the following decades it became a training center for local sports clubs.
The venue served as a meeting place where the local sports community gathered to train and compete together. It became central to how Lviv residents connected through football and athletics.
The grounds are accessible from multiple street sides, with Narodna and Sulymy offering the main entrances. Visit during training days when the facility is actively in use to see the full activity.
The stadium hosted the XIV Pan-Soviet School Championships in 1976, where young athletes competed who would later become well-known Soviet players. This event established it as a training ground for rising talent.
