Chestnut Alley in Poltava

Chestnut Alley in Poltava is a protected natural monument with roughly 400 trees spreading over one kilometer of land. The site occupies four hectares and forms a continuous tree corridor running through the city with varying tree sizes and ages.

The chestnut trees were planted in 1913 by students from a local school to mark an important anniversary. The site later received official protection as a botanical nature memorial, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
