Pavel Andreyev designed this building in the early 20th century as one of only three structures to survive the extensive destruction of Khreshchatyk Street during World War II. Its survival makes it a rare example of pre-war architecture on this otherwise significantly altered street.
The building sits on Khreshchatyk Street, which becomes a pedestrian zone on weekends and regularly hosts cultural events. Visitors can observe how this location blends historical architecture with the daily rhythm of the city center.
