Guilherand-Granges is a small commune in the Ardèche department in southern France near the Rhone River. Located about one kilometer southeast of Valence, it sits at roughly 115 meters (377 ft) elevation and is divided into four main neighborhoods: Bord-du-Rhone-Village, Centre-Ville, Dunant-Mialan, and Savine.
The town changed its name in 1991 from Guilherand to Guilherand-Granges, marking a new chapter in its development. While lacking protected monuments, the local churches and older houses reflect a quiet heritage shaped by generations of settlement.
