The Grand Café features a rectangular main room divided by a central metal beam covered in stucco, displaying a large bronze chandelier and wall mirrors.
The establishment opened in 1899 with an investment of 250,000 gold francs by Renoux, following architect Louis Galfione's Art Nouveau design principles.
The café presented early cinema shows around 1905 and maintained a regular clientele of civil servants, merchants, and notable figures including Coco Chanel.
The establishment opens Monday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 11:00 PM and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, serving lunch between noon and 2:00 PM.
The interior walls contain floor-to-ceiling mirrors creating infinite reflections, while the café section displays a fresco depicting the legend of Gambrinus.
