King's Road, Commercial street in Chelsea and Fulham, England
King's Road extends for two miles through western London, connecting Sloane Square to Fulham High Street and Putney Bridge.
The road began as a private path for King Charles II to travel to Kew and remained restricted to royal access until 1830.
During the 1960s, the street became central to fashion innovation with Mary Quant opening her BAZAAR boutique at number 138a in 1955.
The street contains numerous retail establishments, from independent boutiques to major stores like Peter Jones department store and the first UK Starbucks.
The Glaciarium, which opened near King's Road in 1876, was the first artificial ice rink created in the world.
