Al-Rahma Mosque

Al-Rahma Mosque on Hatherley Street is a prayer house featuring a central dome and two minarets that can hold about 2,500 people at once. The building contains classrooms for religious studies and multiple spaces designed for weekly community gatherings.

The prayer house was founded in 1974 after its founders spent roughly 10 years gaining construction permits from city authorities. Establishing this building marked an important milestone for Liverpool's Muslim community.

The mosque serves as a gathering space for worshippers from the Middle East and Africa, shaping the neighborhood's character through its visible presence. People from different backgrounds come together here for prayer and to participate in community events that strengthen local bonds.
