Wentworth Club is a private golf club in Virginia Water near the Surrey-Berkshire border, offering three championship courses across rolling woodland and open heath. The property features the West, East and Edinburgh layouts, each designed with different playing characteristics across terrain marked by tall pines, grassy hollows and gentle slopes.
The club opened in 1922 on an estate that previously served as a residence for the brother-in-law of the Duke of Wellington. It gained prominence after the Second World War as a venue for major European tournaments.
The West Course regularly hosts the BMW PGA Championship, a significant tournament on the European Tour that attracts international golf professionals.
Membership requires admission and is accessible only by invitation or recommendation. Visitors can enter the grounds solely when accompanied by a member, and most facilities remain reserved for members exclusively.
The Beijing-based Reignwood Group acquired the club in 2014, implementing a debenture membership system while maintaining its status in British golf.
