Usk, Medieval market town in Monmouthshire, Wales
The River Usk flows through the center of the town, with an arched stone bridge connecting both sides of the settlement.
The Norman fortress of Usk Castle, constructed in the 11th century, stands on elevated ground overlooking the ancient river crossing point.
The Rural Life Museum, housed in a former malt barn, displays agricultural equipment and documents the regional farming traditions from 1850 to 1950.
The town center contains independent shops, several tearooms, traditional pubs, and maintains regular farmers markets selling local Welsh produce.
For 37 consecutive years, Usk has received first place in the Wales in Bloom competition, demonstrating excellence in municipal gardening.
