Park Royal, Industrial district in Northwest London, England
Park Royal is a large industrial and business area located across the London Boroughs of Ealing and Brent in Northwest London. The district contains thousands of companies across various sectors including manufacturing, warehousing, and offices, with buildings spread throughout the zone connected by major roads.
The area took its name from the Royal Agricultural Society, which established an exhibition site there in 1903. Rapid industrial development during the 1930s transformed the location from an exhibition ground into a diverse business district.
The district maintains 500 food production companies employing 14,000 people, making it a central hub for London's food manufacturing sector.
The area connects well to the rest of London through the Piccadilly Line underground service and major roads including the A40 and A406. Future high-speed rail access at nearby Old Oak Common will further improve transportation links to the region.
The area hosted the first rugby league test match between Great Britain and Australia in 1908. The playing ground of that era later developed into a notable football stadium.
