Westlake

Westlake is a residential city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, spreading across flat land west of Cleveland. Neighborhoods alternate with green spaces and commercial strips connected by a network of broad avenues.

The settlement began as part of Dover Township in the early 19th century when pioneers from New England arrived. After a period as a village, it received its current name in 1940 to avoid confusion with other locations.
